Starting – and running – a small business is a challenge which can be really rewarding – a chance to focus on things you excel at and enjoy doing.

Chances are, those things do not include keeping the books, chasing debts, filing VAT returns, etc, and the time you spend doing it would be better spent delivering goods or services to your customers, or (if you find the books get left until evenings and weekends) spent with your family (or a good book and a glass of wine!). And it’s always a job that can be left until tomorrow, or next week, or until the VAT return is due….

Many small businesses – especially sole traders – feel that paying someone to do bookkeeping is a cost that cannot be justified. At Chromium Bookkeeping we know where you are coming from, but also understand that sometimes paying an expert for a couple of hours work is more cost effective than spending several hours (often miserably!) doing a task that would be better done by someone else.
